Grizzly Club Team Places 5th with 6 championships at Sussex/West Allis
50 Mukwonago Grizzly’s wrestled this weekend in either Sussex or West Allis this weekend. Mukwonago for the 2nd week in a row led all teams with 33 pins, we placed 5th in the team competition in Sussex and returned home with 6 championships
In the 2006-08 division: Caleb Schreiber tallied 4 pins in 4 matches to earn a sabre cat trophy. Other results were Austin Schulist, Caleb Fisch and Bryce Belter 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively…
In the 2004-05 division: Alex Jacobi dominated with 3 pins to earn his cat. Zach Eliszewski and Josie Stachowski finished with runner-up awards. Cody Goebel finished 3rd with a pin, Evan Herbig and Aaron Lewis battled to 4ths and Carson Taylor and Jake Timmers found some tough brackets with 5th place finishes.
In the 2002-03 division: Jake Adams was our champion with 2 falls. Michael Josephson, Zevin Para-Cremer, Aaron Schmitz and Tyler Goebel finished in 2nd place in 5 man brackets. Haiden Baxa, Luke Garvens and Amos Weide earned 3rd place for the day. Ben Sterny and Cole Hansen battled to 4th places finishes with Braden Schreiber and Brady Belter finding the going tough landed in 5th.
In the 2000-01 division: Alex Larson pinned 3 of his 4 opponents to earn his sabre cat trophy. Luke Eliszewski and Aaron Schulist finished in 2nd place with only a single loss. Benjamin Stein and Mike West each had a pin and finished in 3rd. Josh Garvens and Jake Garvens finished in 4th place; Ben Adams, Justin Eichler and Andrew Lewis battled hard but finished 5th.
In the 1998-99 division: Carter Olson and Tyler Jacobi finished just short with a 2nd place finish. Jacob Stachowski was 3rd, Dennis Mahony and Nicholas Beilfuss finished in 4th place each earning a pin, with Branon Eichler battling to 5th.
This weekend the some of the Grizzly’s will compete in Watertown with a select team competing in the Whitewater Duals.
