Coach Mark Quaglieri
1st coach to be inducted into MWC Hall of Fame
Coach Q, who announced his retirement from coaching at this year’s awards celebration, was inducted into the Mukwonago Wrestling Club Hall of Fame. After 19 years coaching with our club, Mark has decided to leave the shoes on the mat. Coach Q began his coaching career with a club in Illinois, then in 2001 after moving to the Mukwonago Area, joined the coaching staff of MWC. He had all 3 of his boys wrestling in the club over the years. Coach Q is the person who began the tradition of pulling the pin hat over the eyes when each wrestler would earn there first pin of the year.
Coach Q would always show his only trophy at the awards banquets and remind us that it was not about the winning and losing, but “It’s All about the Journey”, the friends, the memories of the sport and the experiences. Q, you will be remembered for the positive impact you had on our wrestlers, you will be missed, we thank you for the 19 years you gave back to the sport and the Club.
